The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2009. The department consistently and competently emphasizes the holistic development of the students to create successful and efficient civil engineers. The department groomed the students and enhanced their skills by providing practical training, workshops, industrial visits, and research. The department has sophisticated modern laboratories in almost all the frontiers of civil engineering and also has the latest laboratories to cater to various specializations and is equipped with facilities for measurement, characterization, and synthesis of experimental as well as theoretical results. It opens a wide spectrum of opportunities for placement in dream companies. It offers students technical knowledge with technique for better utilization of available resources and greater standardization of construction processes required by the construction industry. We intend to develop students by giving training to make use of innovative design methods, techniques, and practical implementation. Highly qualified and dedicated faculties are recruited, and they are always on their toes to guide the students; they are the backbone of the department. The students are encouraged and motivated to take up challenging projects. Summer training, industrial visits, and projects are carefully planned for the students to remain updated with the technology trends. Seminars and add-on courses are regularly organized to update the students with the latest in the education and industry trends.

We cannot imagine the world without the infrastructure & economical development due to applications of civil engineering. The Department's focus is to train our students to get strong academic knowledge in the frontier areas of civil engineering and also to make the students ready to face real-world challenges. The department has a rich blend of young and highly experienced regular and visiting faculty members. The faculty members display a high level of dedication and enthusiasm towards both teaching and research.

Furthermore, we provide students with opportunities to enhance their communication and presentation skills, along with proficiency in software applications such as AutoCAD, STAADPRO, and MATLAB, among others. Through industrial training and visits to live construction sites, students gain practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the field's constraints. It is our moral and social responsibility to impart state-of-the-art technological information to our civil engineering students, considering the ever-evolving nature of construction methods, materials, and skills.

At present, the department offers a two-year master's degree program in structural engineering, a four-year undergraduate engineering program (B.Tech.) in civil engineering, and a diploma in civil engineering. These programs provide a wide range of career opportunities in private and government sectors to meet the demands of the modern construction industries.
