Electrical Engineering Department in a nutshell...
The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2009. It aims at producing qualified engineers in the areas of electrical machine, power electronics, control system, power system, and instrumentation. The field of Electrical and electronics is advancing at a very rapid pace. Power electronics has taken the center stage in every area be it power systems, control systems, power quality, etc. The department is well equipped with a group of highly qualified and dynamic teachers. It boasts of laboratory facility to be one of the best in the state. The students are encouraged and motivated to take up challenging projects. Summer training, industrial visit and projects are carefully planned for the students to remain updated with the technology trend. Seminars and short courses are regularly organized to update the students with the latest in the education and industry trends.

Why Electrical Engineering?
Electrical engineering jobs represent over 25% of all available jobs in engineering! In India 30 % of the government jobs are from Electrical Engineering sector. A EEE student can enter in to the job market of Computer engineering, Electronics & communication engineering, Instrumentation engineering, control engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, VHDL, VLSI. But any branch of other engineering student cannot enter in to the Electrical Engineering job market.

Greetings of the Day!
The Department of Electrical Engineering started its journey in the year 2009 with the aim to provide leadership in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with the intake capacity of 60 students. We try to educate and empower the students to make a better environment to live in.
The Department is having highly experienced and dedicated faculty members to impart education to the students. The significant infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, high tech computing facilities with high speed internet service ensure high standard education discharged to the students.
The department strives for the holistic development of the students by arranging various activities like workshops, seminars, conferences, study tours and industrial visits. In addition to classroom teaching, the students are guided and motivated to implement the principles learnt in classroom through experimentation in the laboratories and through innovation centers on IOT, Robotics and various hubby clubs. The students are provided Internship Training in organizations like NTPC, PGCIL, OPTCL, NALCO, OHPC, DRDO, HAL, SAIL etc. The department conducts the students’ projects in house with the guidance of our faculty members and industrial experts.
We are confident that all graduated students are capable of handling big projects of industrial and research sectors in their respective field of expertise. The graduates of Electrical and Electronics Engineering are selected by both software and core companies. The department looks forward to contribute in solving the challenges faced by the society.
